Campus life is a huge part of the experience of the American University system. Some of your favourite college memories can come from just hanging out with friends in your new dorm room. From movie nights, random excursions, and date nights with other dorms, to having dozens of friends just a few steps away, the dorm life is truly a unique experience.
Each dorm floor will have its own student overseer called an RA (Resident Assistant). They are there to keep everyone in some semblance of order, to make sure everyone is adapting well to their new surroundings, enforce the floor rules, and to also make sure the dorm has as much fun as possible! Most dorms have anywhere from 2-4 people in a room and being an athlete, you will most likely 100% of the time be paired with another athlete/teammate.
Remember, you can choose who you room with the second year you are at school once you have made good friends.
