  1. Purchase a travel wallet-

Keep your visa, passport, tickets and USD in one wallet. You’ll need to pull out your travel wallet a number of times throughout your journey.

  1. Adapt your sleeping pattern to fall in line with your destination

If you do not sleep well on the plane, it is advised that you adapt your sleeping pattern to your end destination. This is a great strategy to combat prolonged jet lag.

  1. Stay Hydrated

Prior to your departure date, make the effort to stay hydrated. It is a known fact that recycled air within the plane can leave you dehydrated. It goes to without saying that staying hydrated increases your chance of fighting off unwanted sickness that is generally associated with travel.

  1. Reduce thigh altitude head aches-

Other than staying hydrated, pack some ‘Tiger Balm’ to apply to your temples neck to ease pain. High altitude headaches are very common, particularly if you don’t travel on long hall flights too often.

  1. Avoid Caffeine

Apart from the dehydrating affects of caffeine, it is essential to avoid stimulants prior to boarding and during the flight. Caffeine can take up to 8 hours to leave your system and can therefore affect your natural sleeping pattern.
