As the Hale family eagerly anticipate the return of their daughter Meagan (NSW), NSR checks in with mother Jennifer to chat about Meagan’s experiences…
Australian born, Meagan has been playing soccer at Presentation College in South Dakota as an NSR athlete for the past year. When asked about Meagan’s progress, Jennifer explains that “Meagan is doing well, getting great grades and playing really well”, as she has been placed on the President’s List for maintaining an amazing 4.0 GPA over the fall semester!
Whilst Meagan has proven herself as a strong student, she’s also been doing the same on the soccer pitch. Meagan and her team as had an outstanding season and Meagan has personally scored goals in both the game against Grace University and Carroll College!
Creating friendships with her other five Australian counterparts, Jennifer tells us of how lucky Meagan is to be surrounded by Australian kids sharing the same experiences; including a true South Dakota snowfall. Jennifer fondly explains how Meagan, along with the other Australians, were all outside at 1am making snow angels which was “…much to the mirth of the Americans who sensibly stayed inside…”
It sounds like Meagan is having a great time in the US and we look forward to catching up with her upon her return in May!
