NSR is thrilled to announce the new signing of James McPaul, a young athletics star from NSW already making waves.
James shared the following update on how he’s feeling at this exciting time, plus shared his hopes for his journey to come.
“Since signing with NSR my life and my sporting aspects have changed dramatically. It has motivated me to train harder to achieve better results in my athletics season this year. It has also increased my dedication to athletics and furthering my future endeavours that are related such as the scholarship to the USA.
What I hope to get out of the whole experience is to achieve the best results I can, opening up future opportunities such as participating in the Australian Olympic team. I hope that the signing with NSR will assist and provide the utilities to achieving my future goals.
There are numerous aspects that are exciting about living in the USA. Firstly, the full-time training and utilities I haven’t had access to that would benefit my dedication to achieving the best results. And the degree that accompanies the scholarship with the chance to further my studies to set myself up for a future career.
My greatest aspirations would be what lies ahead of me, making the best choices and opening up as many opportunities to benefit my future. An example would be making both Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.
I only began competing and training in athletics around a year ago. From this amount of time my greatest achievements have been receiving my Australian silver medal at the Australian junior youth championships in the 400m and the 4×400 and receiving a gold metal in the 400m at the NSW junior youth championships early this year and a bronze in the 200m.”
