If you have not traveled long distances before then the ride to America will be something exciting and completely different.
Travelling from Australia to the United States can be very draining on the body, which is why it is important to prepare for this journey. With layovers, you will have to be completely focused and switched on in order not to miss flights or lose any belongings. The last thing you want to do is drop a passport or leave a wallet behind, so it is always best to carry a backpack with you on board because smaller items can easily fall out of your pockets.
Sleep is always good on the long flight, but it may be hard to come by. Your body clock will need some time to adjust to the changes. You will have a lot of time on your hands to watch movies, sleep, read magazines, eat and much more. We suggest that you utilize a lot of the free time on the plane to read over any material your coach may have given you or any material you have been given about the school in general. If very little has been given to you, then print out some reading material before you leave. It is always good to have a complete understanding of something that is very different to what you are used to. You will find it a lot easier to transition into the college life if you understand everything that is going on. Even if it is a map of the campus, print it out and have a look over it on your flights.
You have a lot of spare time on your hands so it would be wise to fully prepare yourself for the coming weeks!
