We caught up with new hockey prospect, Gracie Henderson!
Gracie has been playing hockey for a number of years, addicted to the thrill of the game.
“I love how fast-paced the game is. It’s not slow or boring and so keeps me interested,” she
said.
“I also love being a part of a team and meeting new people through sport.”
After having just recently signed with NSR Australia, Gracie admits she’s feeling a lot of
emotions.
“I am extremely excited to have just signed with NSR. I am a little bit nervous at the same
time to leave my friends and family when the time comes, but I know the experience will be
worth it,” she said.
Although realising it will be hard to leave her loved ones, the young talent is extremely
excited to experience life abroad.
“I am most looking forward to experiencing college life in another country,” she said.
“I am also looking forward to the school spirit that American colleges have and playing in
front of big crowds.”
The talented young athlete has a firm plan mapped out for her life, post her American
journey, with a clear direction of where she wants to be headed.
“In five years’ time I hope to have graduated as a physiotherapist. I think I will want to travel
a bit, move back home and continue playing hockey.”
We just KNOW Gracie is going to achieve all that she sets out to do, plus more!
