Want to hear fans screaming your name? Something that sometimes lack in women’s sport compared to men’s sport on most occasions is the number of fans in the crowd. This is often not an issue for women’s college sport in the United States…
Fans are known for really getting behind and backing their schools in most sports. Sport is major passion for many people in the US and that is shown through their attendances at these games.
A fan favourite for women’s sports in college is gymnastics and basketball. The University of Utah lead the way averaging 14, 858 spectators for home meets.
This is closely followed by the University of South Carolina in second with an their highest attendance of 12,293 for their women’s basketball team. The University of Alabama has also topped 10, 000 people or more in every meet. As impressive as that is for a gymnastics meet these crowd numbers are actually down from last year.
