Get to know one of the biggest up-and-comers in golf, David Van Drimmelen! The young star hailing from NZ took time out of his day to answer some of our pressing questions.
What do you hope to gain out of this whole experience?
By partnering with NSR and (hopefully) studying in the U.S, I wish to extend my knowledge of the world and gain a greater understanding of other cultures. I think it is an exciting opportunity because I have always desired to study at a tertiary level while playing golf at a high standard and this is the best pathway possible.
What is your dream?
My dream is to become the best golfer and engineer I can be. With an engineering degree in civil engineering my dream would be to use my skills to help others to find solutions for their problems. For example, to provide solutions for countries that are lacking in clean water, housing, etc. My dream as a golfer within the next few years would be to represent my college to the best of my ability while being respectful to others at the high level that the game of golf demands.
How has signing with NSR changed your life so far?
It has given me perspective in terms of what I can achieve, and as a result it has shown me that I must work hard to accomplish these goals.
