A-League’s Central Coast Mariners superstar Joshua Rose was one of the soccer superstars in attendance of the recent Official 2015 NSR Australia Kanga Cup in Canberra.

NSR was lucky enough to get some exclusive words from the soccer pro, on how he felt being behind the fence for a change.

“I really enjoy it,” he said.

Josh expressed his surprise at the amount of incredible games he’d seen, despite the young age of participants.

“Our boys have had some fantastic games, even in the Under-9s. It’s been fantastic to watch,” he said.

The soccer pro noted that the competition had definitely lifted a level since previous years.

“Just the step up in standard for them… it’s a great challenge and I’m sure there’s plenty other kids out there that’s felt the same,” he said.

Josh believes that the continued raised challenge is an important thing for young budding soccer professionals.

“It helps them realise what level they have to get to, and they can go back to the coach and slowly improve, and hopefully come back next year, and they know what they’ve got to do,” he explained.

“It challenges them. If they can get it in their mindset to take on the challenge, learn from it and accept it, they’re going to become better players,” he said.

WOW. That’s some great advice from a very reputable source!
