Be brave, get uncomfortable, learn new things and travel to new places. If you are uncomfortable, even scared, it probably means you are growing.
Continuing to have the same schedule, hanging around the same people and doing things that you are already very good at will create complacency. If you don’t like public speaking, volunteer to be the one to present out of your group and or take speech classes. If you don’t like English, find a way to immerse yourself in a situation where you are forced to learn (get certified to teach English, which requires you to learn it inside and out!).
Life requires many different skills and it’s better to be prepared before you are called upon for them. Identify what scares you and what you’re think you’re not good at and make an effort to overcome that self fulfilling prophecy. People enjoy doing things they are good at, you may not like something just because it didn’t come as natural to you as other things you’ve tried, but it doesn’t mean you can’t, it may just mean that you need to put a little extra time into becoming proficient.
