We caught up with our amazing new hockey WA signing, Emily Matisons! Em shares a brilliantly funny insight into how she’s feeling right now, and why she loves her game:
What do you love about hockey?
I love hockey for the team atmosphere, for being part of an awesome bunch of people.
I love it because of the challenge it gives me.
I love it because it makes me happy.
Really, I guess you could say there isn’t anything I don’t love about hockey!
I love it for the good and the bad, the wins and the losses, (but especially the wins!)
How are you feeling at this moment having just signed with NSR?
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!
Honestly the idea of NSR and the whole American University experience had me in wraps from the first letter in the mail. I didn’t really realise that it would actually happen and happen to me until about 36 hours ago when my personal website went live, (!!!!!!). I literally ran to school that morning because I was so excited, (I was also running late because I had to wake up my parents so we could look at the website).
No matter what happens when I get to America, the experience is worth it just for this excitement, it has seriously improved me
