Aaron Trevarthen is currently back home in NSW for the US college winter break, enjoying spending time with his family.
In addition to catching up with family and friends, the hot-shot has slipped back into his old job at Bunnings Warehouse.
“I’ve been enjoying that and trying to earn money while I’m back so I can save up again and have a bit of spending money for when I go back over,” he explains.
Aaron has currently completed two semesters at Montreat, and now feels like he has a solid foundation at the school.
“The second semester definitely improved, my grades improved and I’m enjoying it a lot more now,” he said.
The star is enjoying the quality of the soccer at Montreat, especially the hectic training schedule.
“Training is every day of the week, after you finish class, then obviously the games at the end of the week, and some games during the week. Training every day is really fun, gym sessions as well included,” he explained.
Aaron is eager to get the next semester underway, because his grades “have gotten a lot better.”
Aside from the sports and the academic side of Montreat, Aaron has been greatly enjoying his campus life.
He explains that he’s formed an extremely close relationship with his teammates, many of which are also international students.
“A few other Aussies are in my team. We kind of just hang out as a group, go to the shops, and get something to eat, very casual. There’s nothing really fancy going on, but it’s good to have a bit of down time as well.”
Between studying and training, Aaron also spends time frequently with his girlfriend, Steph, a fellow American student at Montreat.
It’s safe to say Aaron’s never bored at college! What a great insight!
