We had the amazing experience in catching up with NSR athlete, Michelle MacDonald (FFV) to discuss what motivates her before her big move to the US…
Joining NSR last September and as a Year 8 student, Michelle never really gave the US much thought until she received an invite in the mail from Football Federation Victoria to attend the upcoming US college soccer trial in Darebin, Victoria. Nervous but excited, Michelle attended the trial and definitely left a big impression on both the FFV coaches and NSR Australia.
At the time, Michelle was an average student working her way through year 8 with the goal of one day becoming a physiotherapist. Since joining NSR, Michelle’s mindset changed drastically and has had the incredible motivation to do her best in the classroom and on the pitch. With this newly found enthusiasm, it has reflected in both areas and Michelle is more than ready to take on the US.
Michelle describes leaving home as nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time and cannot wait to lace up those boots on college soil in front of many fans!
