- Respect quiet hours– Quiet hours, as the name suggests, are those hours that your room mate may be sleeping or studying. These hours are generally between 10pm-6am Monday to Friday and 12am-8am during weekends. No one likes the lively socialite that stumbles in after a heavy night of…studying. Keep it on the hush!
- Keep it clean- this room is someone else’s room too, don’t spread your washing across the room as you would at home. Take pride in your room and keep it clean for you and your roommate’s sake!
- Be a listener- This roommate is your family for your time at college, or until you move. Consider the other person a newly found pal in the craze of college. Make an effort to learn more about the other person and extend yourself.
- Keep the door locked- No one likes that roommate that leaves the door open for all those passing through the building to inspect. Keep you and your roommate’s belongings safe and sound. Lock the door and take the initiative to look your most prized possessions!
- Be courteous– A morning, please and thank you can get you far in life. Keep the manners going and you’ll get along just fine
