We’re so thrilled to pass on the news that golfing pro from NZ, Liam Todd, has officially started at Sterling College in Kansas.
We chat with our superstar about this “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity he has been given, and lets us know where he wants to be at the end of his NSR adventure!
Golfing pro from New Zealand, Liam Todd, started playing the game from the age of 13.
The talented teenager took a love of the game due to the “technical challenges” it brings, and the “constant effort and practice that is required to be successful”.
“Golf to me is one of the most rewarding sports out there, which is why I love the game so much,” he said.
The determined star admitted that his ultimate goal out of the NSR program is to “play professional golf.”
“I think that is one of the beauties of college golf is being able to work at improving my golf game to a professional level, whilst also getting a quality education that can help me future in life,” he said.
The mature athlete said he’s looking forward to be in an environment of structure and competitiveness.
“I’m looking forward to playing golf in a competitive environment where everyone is working towards similar goals and aspirations,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to studying and practicing golf under a structured schedule at Sterling College and cannot wait for the semester to begin.”
The star explained that he hopes to graduate from Sterling College with good grades, and a hugely successful college golf career.
“I hope that I would have improved my golf game to the point where I can play professional golf at a successful level,” he explained.
“I am hugely grateful to NSR for this once in a life time opportunity and intend to make the most of it.”
