“I leave a week today,” the soccer pro declared, excitedly.
After asking if he had started packing yet, Connaire admitted he hadn’t.
“Last minute packing…That’s how I prepare for holidays,” he laughed.
The young soccer talent from South Australia is excitedly preparing for his adventure abroad, soon jetting off to Century College in Minnesota.
After playing soccer for around 12 years, Connaire jumped at the opportunity to trial with NSR Australia, to work towards his dream of playing professional soccer.
“From there it happened really fast. I’m not sure where last year went to be honest,” he admitted.
Connaire dreams of becoming a professional soccer player through his US College pathway, although is ultimately positive about any outcome.
“Obviously being a professional soccer player, that is the dream. If I can achieve that through hard work, then excellent, that’s definitely where I want to take my soccer career,” he explained.
“If not, I get an education out of it, and even if I come back to Australia and play locally, then I’m all happy. There will be a positive to come out of it, even if it’s just the experience.”
The talented athlete looks towards studying a computer science degree.
“In high school I was not necessarily into the courses that they provided, but in my spare time I was building computers and coding all that kind of stuff,” he explained.
Ultimately, the young star is excited to progress both his sporting and education life.
“It’s really hard, I can’t pinpoint one experience. I’m just excited for the whole thing, really.”
What a positive attitude, Connaire! This one will definitely go far.
