Sarina Vallese has been playing soccer since the young age of four years old, and has never looked back.
“I love it because it’s my way of expressing the characteristics I have, in a unique way,” she explained.
The young talent also loves “meeting and playing with new people all the time, of different personalities and coming together on the field, and having the pleasure to be a part of the world game,” she said.
The determined athlete admits that her “ultimate goal” is to play professionally.
Sarina said that if this doesn’t happen, she would be completely happy to be “just a part of the soccer industry.”
“I currently coach two teams, referee and with to undertake physiotherapy as a major. All these job experiences open up pathways in the soccer industry,” she explained.
The athlete is looking forward to her experience at Calumet, likening it to a “big adventure”.
In addition to furthering her soccer and academic career, Sarina has big hopes for her personal development.
“I hope to… become a better person,” she explained.
“I hope to be extremely independent compared to others my age.”
“I hope this experience NSR have provided me with, can bring me back to Australia a better, young soccer player with a high experience level, that I wish to pass on to other children and teenagers as a coach.”
Sounds like a plan, Sarina!
