fiesa6Well that brings the World Cup to a conclusion and I know for a fact there is one disappointed Argentinian and it’s our very own NSR founder Marco Maisano.

Germany though were just too good, their team work and talent out played every other team in the tournament and the one thing even more so what blew me away was their unselfishness and ability to score goals. It was a month of unbelievable football and it excites me for our Women’s World Cup in Canada 2015 and I can’t wait to get back playing the sport I love.

I’ve recently started a full training regime with my W League team (which I’m going to announce which team in next months blog officially), my strength sessions in the gym, running program and physio. It feels amazing running again and my knee gradually pulling up less sore and feeling better each time I train. I long for the feeling when I wake up and my knee feels normal again, or when I can do a full training session with all the girls, and just line up a ball and strike it at the goal.

I’ve started a 17-week countdown and I’m up to my 14th week, and the time is flying by. As it stands my return date is October 29th but that’s given my rehab and knee all go to plan. My priority is the World Cup in Canada so not wanting to risk anything by trying to push back earlier than I’m ready.

As W-League nears teams are getting their squads together and beginning their pre season, which is where all the hard work starts. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for what team I’m signing with for this 2014/15 season.

Exciting times ahead and I can’t wait to keep you guys in the loop.
