NSR checks in with one of our most promising basketball athletes as he prepares to head to the US next year. We’ve got the scoop on Aaron’ Frost’s (VIC) background, including the path he’s taken to get to this point and his hopes for the future.
Originally partaking in the domestic basketball club, Aaron soon developed a true passion for the sport. Having experience in a broad range of sports was an imperative part in the development of his soccer skills; reflected through his discussion of his part in the under 12’s AFL domestic team. After one and a half years of playing soccer, Aaron was invited by NSR to attend a trial event held in Victoria. Aaron explains his trial nerves whilst he competed for a chance to travel and study in a US college.
Upon being accepted into the programme, Aaron is one step closer to achieving his goals of playing basketball abroad. When asked about what college he would like to attend, Aaron is looking for a college close to sunny Miami or Ohio. Currently, Aaron is improving his skill on the field and in the class room to optimise his chances of obtaining an awesome scholarship!! We asked Aaron what he anticipates college life to be like, with the response of “busy, yet exciting, I am nervous about moving out of home but it will be a great challenge”
Aaron closes with the statement “I’m getting ready for the big trip, it will be a huge change in my life but I am really excited!”
NSR is keeping a close eye on this promising basketball prospect and will be checking back in with him closer to his departure in 2016!!
