stuartNSR father, Peter Eicher, is in a very positive mind frame as he and his wife prepare to send their daughter, Anya off to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

“We are very excited about the whole thing,” he explained.

“We grew up in a similar way and we had this experience, moving from a different country to Australia. We think this is just a fantastic opportunity to see somebody grow up in that way, going overseas, and having this experience of a lifetime.”

When asked how he hopes his daughter would change through the experience, Peter said he thought she didn’t have to.

“I don’t know whether she has to change a lot. I think it’s more life experience, it’s growing up…and I think it just makes you more of a rounded person, probably more tolerant to things around the world, understanding different concepts and principles,” he said.

Although excited for his daughter, Peter admitted it will be hard to see her go.

“I don’t want to get her out, we love her dearly, but we think this is part of life,” he explained.

“You need to go out and take opportunities when they arise. Life is too short. At the end of the day, we are always back home, she can always come home if something happens. There is no restriction, really. Just go and explore!”

We love this positive attitude, Peter!
