IMG_4668Marisa Seaman, mother to aspiring soccer pro, Hayden (VIC), has only just begun her journey with NSR Australia.

“As a mum, I have always supported Hayden in whatever he wants to do. He has always had a long-time dream of being a professional soccer player,” she explained.

“At first I used to say, ‘Yeah right!’, but as he’s grown up his dream has never died and he became more determined to get there and improve, which in turn has made me determined to help him achieve his dream.”

The single mum admits “it hasn’t been easy”, as there “has been a lot of sacrifices made to get him thus far”.

“It’s still early days for Hayden but he realises that he needs to work harder more than ever and that there will be more sacrifices along the way to get him where he needs to go. He sees that the bigger picture is getting closer to him,” she said.

Marisa explained that whatever the outcome through his involvement in NSR, Hayden will be successful.

“Hayden is looking forward to the experience of playing soccer all the time and improving his skills greatly and to be able to get a degree at the end is awesome. He knows that if he doesn’t end up making it in the professional circle that he has a degree to fall back on and find a job.”

The loving mother referred to her family as Hayden’s “number one fans”, and are very proud of him.

“All I ask of my son is that he be honest with himself, to his coach and teammates. Study hard and be a good student. Play with integrity and humbleness, and that he realises there will be sacrifices along the way and that he asks for help if he needs it,” she said.

She added that she wants him to: “Play like there’s no tomorrow but have fun at the same time…that [he] doesn’t forget his family!”

What an incredible family. Hayden, we are definitely cheering for you!
