As it stands Australia ranks only second behind the USA in competitive swimming at the Olympics. Training everyday in world-class facilities against the future great’s of the sport can only close that gap and lead Australia’s next generation to great success. Many of the USA’s top female competitors and current gold medallist competed in the NCAA Swimming and Diving National championships. Take for example Missy Franklin who has 5 Olympic Gold Medals and has previously broken and held world records. She is currently swimming for University of California-Berkley. Swimming with and against would be invaluable for in swimmer pushing for the national team.

The teams that currently hold championships include; Stanford University with eight titles, University of Texas with seven titles, University of Georgia with six titles, Auburn University with five titles, University of California-Berkley with four titles, University of Florida with two titles and the University of Arizona and University of Southern California with one national team titles each.
