adam_scott_and_steve_williams_celebrate_the_masters_victory_MasterAfter slipping in raking to 12th, golfing great Adam Scott is looking to his former caddy, Steve Williams to aid his comeback in the golfing world. Enjoying great success as a team, Scott and Williams conquered the Masters Tournament in Augusta after a sudden death playoff.  The unbeatable team have not worked together since the Fed-X tournament eight months ago. This prompts the question of how important is a great caddy?

Often dismissed as an accessory to lug those heavy golf bags around all day, new research shows a great caddy can improve a golfer’s game by up to a massive 30%! The science of judging the best suiting club for the current golfing conditions is paramount for the success of a golfer. According to the popular golfing blog the ‘Grateful Golfer’ a professional caddie is a “…friend, peer, mentor, swing analyst, body-guard and sometimes a butt-kicker…”

In a recent interview after the announcement of his intended comeback, Williams shares his success as a caddy for 33 years and a total of 145 wins during his career.  This gives rise to the theory that golf is no longer an individualistic sport, but a great deal more team orientated these days.

The reuniting of these two great forces has the golfing world in high anticipation for the return of Scott and Williams when they plan to make a huge comeback in future tournaments.
